Can I visit the venue before booking my event?
Yes, subject to availability, we can arrange a venue walkthrough so you can see layouts, access points, and facilities. Talk to our team to check availability and schedule a time that suits.
What’s included in a venue hire?
Standard venue hire includes the booked space, basic house lighting, and venue management support. Additional services, including AV/lighting, staging, furniture, staffing, security, extended hours, and specialised equipment, are quoted to suit your event plan. Inclusions vary based on the event space, talk to our team for more information.
Will I have a dedicated event manager?
Yes. You’ll firstly work with our Business Development team, and once your contract is signed, you’ll be supported by a dedicated Event Manager who coordinates your proposal, liaises with our internal teams, and is your main point of contact right through to event day.
How much does it cost to hire a venue at Venues Ōtautahi?
Costs vary depending on the venue, guest numbers, event format, and services required, so we put together a tailored quote for every enquiry rather than a fixed rate card. Get in touch with your event details and we'll come back with a proposal.

Christchurch Town Hall offers five flexible spaces suited to conferences and gala dinners of varying sizes, while Wolfbrook Arena's 4000m² open floor and One NZ Stadium's Ōtautahi Lounge and suites suit larger-scale events and exhibitions. Your Event Manager can help match your guest numbers and format to the right space for your business event or conference.
Can spaces be configured differently depending on my event?
Most of our spaces are flexible and can be reconfigured for theatre, banquet, cocktail, or exhibition-style layouts. We'll talk through your event format and recommend the best configuration during the proposal stage.
Are your venues accessible?

Is Wi-Fi available at all venues?
We have basic Wi-Fi included at all venues. Talk to our team if you have specific requirements.
Can I use my own suppliers or caterers?
External suppliers are welcome with prior approval and compliance with our health & safety and insurance requirements. We can also recommend trusted partners across AV, theming, and entertainment. Catering is typically provided in-house or via our approved partners.
Is parking available for guests and vendors?
Most venues offer nearby parking options and dedicated load-in access for vendors. Availability and charges vary by site—your Event Manager will outline options and maps with your proposal.
