Best known as the home of Canterbury rugby, Apollo Projects Stadium was redeveloped following the earthquakes. It hosts provincial and international rugby and league matches, as well as being an awesome space for outdoor concerts and shows.
As any good sports fan knows, atmosphere is everything! Head along, and you could be sitting alongside up to 18,000 people for a big game – or 30,000 fans for a once-in-a-lifetime concert, under the stars.
The stadium also has has thirteen super large corporate boxes overlooking the hallowed turf, and can accommodate up to 60 people, making them a fantastic option for meetings and corporate gatherings.

By Car
Traffic congestion can be heavy, particularly during peak times and when there are other events taking place in the precinct.
Parking is very limited in and around the stadium on event days, particularly when events are on at the Arena or Raceway.
Jack Hinton Drive (between Whiteleigh Ave and Twigger St) is closed on large event days, and off-street parking is often also restricted.
Pedestrians
Pedestrian access is available from all points of entry. Please stay on footpaths and to the sides of roads for your safety and the safety of others.
By Bus
Metro Bus Stops are located nearby on Lincoln Road and Whiteleigh Ave. Visit the Metro website for timetables and more information.
By Bike
Bike racks are available for cyclists, and are positioned by the entrance gates. Please ensure you lock your bikes securely.
Taxi & rideshare
If you require a taxi pick-up post event we recommend you book this well in advance as taxis can be in high demand, particularly later in the evening.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
To help ensure a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for all visitors, Apollo Projects Stadium has a set of conditions of entry that everyone is expected to follow.
Make sure you are set for a smooth entry and great experience. Come prepared with your ticket, valid ID if purchasing alcohol, and a small bag if necessary-keep it minimal for security checks. Leave large bags, commercial food, umbrellas and pro gear at home.
Please note while we endeavour to communicate as much as possible, promoters and event operators may amend these conditions at short or no notice for reasons of safety and security.
Smokefree
Apollo Projects Stadium is smokefree at all times, this includes the use of Vapes & E-Cigarettes.
Dress Code
All persons entering the Stadium must be appropriately dressed. The right of admittance is reserved to Stadium staff and decision will be final. In particular no person will be permitted entry to the Stadium with:
- Bare feet
- Clothing containing offensive messages (or gang patches)
- Inappropriate costume
- High visibility reflective clothing.
Behaviour
Patrons may be refused entry or asked to leave if they:
- Are not in possession of a valid ticket or pass
- Are the subject of a current trespass order
- Attempt to bring in, or are found with, prohibited items (see below)
- Appear intoxicated or under the influence of drugs
- Refuse to undergo a breathalyser test
- Behave in a disorderly or offensive manner
- Fail to comply with security or gate staff requests
- Are carrying out illegal or unauthorised activities within the Stadium.
Age Restrictions
Anyone aged 13 or under needs to be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Security varies from event to event, but for everyone’s safety, security personnel, bag checks, and screening may be in operation. at all events.

Any items found or handed in are stored in the Arena's lost property. Use the form on the Get in touch page to check if we have your item.
Is photography allowed?
Restrictions vary by event. Many shows prohibit flash photography or professional equipment.
